Savannah Classical Academy progress report improves

Savannah, GA – November 18, 2018 – The state Department of Education is advising people not to compare this year’s College and Career Ready Performance Index scores with last year’s, but Barry Lollis, interim school director at Savannah Classical Academy can’t resist.

Who could blame him, given the school that was on a “turnaround” or “academic probation” list just a few months ago has achieved the highest CCRPI score among Savannah-Chatham County middle schools. This year’s score of 82 is a whopping 30 points higher than the 52 the charter school achieved a year ago. It’s also higher than the district average for middle schools of 67.9.
