SAVANNAH, GA. – NOV. 22, 2021 – Savannah Classical Academy’s (SCA) Governing Board of Directors has approved a new Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) program for the 2022-23 school year. This program will serve 22 Pre-K students, offering them an opportunity to benefit from classical education and experience SCA’s core values earlier in their schooling. Students enrolled in Pre-K will have priority enrollment into the following school year’s kindergarten class of 50 students.
“Savannah Classical Academy has been looking forward to introducing a Pre-Kindergarten program to the school for a long time and we are pleased to start our inaugural program in Fall 2022,” said CEO Barry Lollis. “At SCA, we understand that the decision about where to enroll your child into a Pre-K program is a very important one. These early years are some of the most important years for a child’s development, and our staff is committed to teaching children in a safe and nurturing environment.”
Pre-K students of SCA will be introduced to classical education during their most developmental years, providing them with an appropriate and content-rich academic instruction that will prepare them for successful entry into kindergarten. Details of this program will be announced in early 2022. An investment in SCA will instill core virtues of compassion, perseverance, responsibility, respect, temperance, integrity, diligence, and courage into the minds of its youngest students. The mission of SCA is to provide every child with a classical and academically rigorous education while instilling a commitment to civic virtue and moral character.
It is the philosophy of Savannah Classical Academy that all students benefit from a rigorous, content-rich, educational program that develops academic potential and personal character. The school provides an environment that fosters academic excellence through the habits of thoroughness, the willingness to work, and the perseverance to complete difficult tasks. Through a defined traditional, Classical-Liberal curriculum, students are prepared to become active, responsible members of their community.
