Pesky tropical storm Nestor hasn’t stopped over 500 dapper dressed and devoted supporters from attending the Historic Savannah Foundation Call of the Triton’s Horn 28th annual gala at Forsyth Park.
When I say devoted, I mean rain gear, duck boots and even a lady with ziplock bags with rubber bands around her high heels. The kind of devotion from Chelsea Phillips, Cari Phelps and TV personality Ben Senger.
Leaving the Cora Bett Thomas pre-party, Ben stomped through the rain in his waterproof Sorel boots and is stoked to fulfill this bucket list event along with fellow first-timer and jeweler Caleb Harkleroad and his posse, Stephen Plunk and Jeff Mitchell.
Entering the Cinderella castle-looking white tent, I see dynamic HSF publicist Lesley Francis waving me over for a pic of Savannah Classical Academy’s Barry Lollis with his wife Lisa and HSF’s svelte Chassidy Malloy.
