We appreciate your interest in Savannah Classical Academy (SCA). We understand that choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions a family will make. We hope this information and your visit to our K-12 charter school will communicate our commitment to providing an excellent education to any student residing in Chatham County. Created in 2013, SCA is the result of a grass roots effort by Savannah residents and donors. Although SCA is part of the county school system, it is autonomously directed by the CEO and the Governing Board.
We are proud of our dedicated and hard working team of educators and students, high caliber curriculum, extracurricular activities and community involvement. Compared to other district schools, SCA students’ achievement outscored the county public school system on all 23 shared state assessments. Due to the impressive academic and enrichment programs, community collaboration, experiential learning opportunities, range and quality of extra-curricular activities for all grades, professional qualifications of staff, and the supportive and well-structured environment the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC) recently awarded SCA the highest possible rating.
Families may submit an application for the 2023-24 waiting list. All K-12 students in Chatham County are eligible to apply.

Savannah Classical Academy (SCA) has come to the aid of fellow Chatham County based charter school, Tybee Island Maritime Academy (TIMA) to avert a nutritional crisis situation at the beginning of the semester on July 26.
