Ms. Kitchen attended school at South Georgia College, UCONN, University of Pheonix, and Armstrong State University. She has received her Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Master’s in Curriculum, Instruction and Educational Leadership and a Master’s in Education with a concentration in Special Education. She has experience volunteering in many capacities with the YMCA in Effingham County.
Ms. Kitchen has 19 years of teaching experience and wants to pass on her love for learning to her students.
When prepping for the first day of school, she thinks about what she can do differently this year to improve upon the previous year. She enjoys helping students gain the tools necessary to become independent learners. She finds the best way to motivate her students is by telling students how great they are doing, providing incentives and listening to them.
Her favorite subject to teach is Reading.
