MS Special Education Teacher
Ms. Kitchen attended school at South Georgia College, UCONN, University of Phoenix, and Armstrong State University. She has received her Associates degree in Chemistry, Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Master’s in Curriculum, Instruction and Educational Leadership and a Master’s in Education with a concentration in Special Education. She has experience volunteering in many capacities with the YMCA in Effingham County.
Ms. Kitchen has 19 years of teaching experience and strives to help students achieve success.
When prepping for the first day of school, she arrives early and makes sure everything is set for the coming school day. She hopes to help students reach their fullest potential, especially that which is not yet realized fully. She finds the best way to motivate her students is with extrinsic and intrinsic rewards.
She enjoys teaching all subjects but has a special love for Science and History.
