Savannah Classical Academy’s (SCA) first literary team recently competed in the Georgia High School Association’s Area 3A Public Literary Competition, before the pandemic affected in-person learning and competing. The SCA team placed in five different events, coming in fourth place overall. SCA is proud to congratulate Kayla Summer, Makayla Rudolph, Palmer Desborough and RJ Allen for their achievements in the school’s first literary competition.

Savannah Classical students win five medals at state literary competition

Before schools were closed in March and competitions were postponed or canceled for the remainder of the school year, the literary team from Savannah Classical Academy earned a total of six awards at the Georgia High School Association’s Area 3A Public Literary Competition on March 14, according to a release from SCA. The SCA team earned five individual awards and a fourth-place team award.

This support from Soho South Café has been offered to help the families of SCA students during this time of health and economic uncertainty amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This program will run initially for four days before the Savannah Chatham County Public Schools System (SCCPSS) initiates a meal service program for students which is anticipated to begin after Spring Break on Monday, March 23.
