Ms.Donaldson attended school at University of Georgia and Armstrong Atlantic State University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Science and Child & Family Development and a Master’s of Arts in Teaching. She has experience volunteering in many capacities including at a local studio, a nursing home/retirement home, and with her church.
Ms. Donaldson has 7 years of teaching experience, following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother who were also teachers.
When prepping for the first day of school, she cleans and organizes her classroom accordingly. She also puts each student’s name up on the bulletin board and birthday chart to promote a sense of belonging.
Her favorite part about teaching is helping students achieve their goals and sharing her love and excitement for literature. She keeps students motivated by building relationships with them so that students know they are in a safe environment and have someone to confide in.
Her favorite subjects to teach are Phonics and Grammar/Reading.
