Christina Kessler

Elementary Reading Specialist

Ms.Kessler attended school at Armstrong Atlantic State University and Georgia Southern University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Education. She also has an Education Specialist Degree in Reading Education K-12, Gifted Certification, Reading Endorsement, and ESOL Endorsement. She has experience volunteering with many organizations including Effingham County Chamber of Commerce, Rincon Garden Club, Ogeechee Audubon Society, Friends of National Wildlife Refuge, Friends of the Georgia State Parks and Friends of the Coastal Garden and Bamboo Farm. 

Ms. Kessler has 12 years of teaching experience and her educational opportunities and experiences were what drove her to be a teacher. She hopes to inspire her students to reach new goals and explore the world around them. 
When prepping for the first day of school, she prepares a welcoming, motivating and academically challenging classroom and lesson plans. This environment helps students achieve increased academic success and hopefully instills the joy of learning and encourages life-long learning. She finds the best way to motivate her students is by providing high-quality standards and engaging class discussions, projects, research and writing. 

Her favorite subject to teach is English Language Arts.
